Short-Term Exchange Programme
A short stay in a British classroom can change the way a young person sees the world. Our exchange programme places international students in UK schools for anything from a fortnight to a full term — with the same standard of care, safeguarding and communication we give every student in our charge.
Short-term study is not simply a shorter version of a long placement. The time is brief, the surroundings are entirely new, and there is very little margin for anything to go wrong.
For that reason we prepare each exchange in detail well before departure, and we stay close throughout — so that a few short weeks are spent learning and discovering, rather than adjusting and worrying.
What the Programme Includes
Visa and Pre-Departure Support
Guidance on the appropriate visa route, help obtaining the school’s invitation and supporting letters, an insurance check, and a pre-departure briefing for students and parents.
Airport Transfers
A vetted driver meets your child at the airport on arrival and returns them for their departure flight, with confirmation sent to parents at both ends of the journey.
Accommodation
A safeguarding-trained homestay family or a place in school boarding, chosen with the same care as for our long-term students, and visited by our designated safeguarding lead.
Settling into Lessons
An induction on the first day, an introduction to teachers and classmates, and help in the opening week with the timetable, homework expectations and classroom routines.
Cultural Programme
Weekend and half-term activities that make the stay more than a school trip — museums, universities, historic towns and the ordinary rhythms of British life.
Reports to Parents
Written updates during the placement, photographs where the school permits, and a direct line to us in your own language whenever you would like to know how things are going.
24/7 Welfare Support
A named guardian and a 24-hour emergency contact for the whole of the stay, covering illness, travel disruption, homesickness and anything else that arises.
Programmes for Schools and Groups
We also arrange group exchanges for overseas schools and education agencies, including accompanying-teacher arrangements, group accommodation and a tailored academic and cultural timetable. Please contact us to discuss dates and group sizes.
